for sparkling dishes and a long life for your machine

Special Salt for dishwashers

Hard water is the number one enemy of your dishwasher. It causes scale deposits that ruin heaters and leave unsightly white spots on your glasses. Crystal Salt Special salt is top quality, coarse granulation and high purity, designed to soften water, protect your machine and ensure a perfect wash every time.

Current offer

The product is available in an economical 1.5kg cardboard box, with a practical side opening for easy dispensing without spillage.

Special Salt 1,5kg

Proper use of special salt can extend the life of the device by up to 30%.

Every dishwasher has a built-in water softener (ion exchanger). Its task is to "pick up" limescale from the water before it gets on your dishes. For that softener to work, it needs salt. If you forget to add salt:

White spots: Scale deposits on glasses and rims, making them dull and mottled.
Machine breakdowns: The heater and sprinklers get scaled, which increases power consumption and leads to breakdowns.
Worse washing: Detergent does not work effectively in hard water.

Hard water

What makes Crystal Salt different from others?

Not all salt is the same. Our Special Salt is formulated specifically for the sensitive mechanisms of dishwashers.

Ideal coarse granulation

Unlike fine salt that can harden and clog the water supply in the softener, our salt has large grains. This enables even dissolution and smooth flow of water.

High purity (No additives)

This is pure sodium chloride. It does not contain iodine, iron or anti-caking agents found in table salt, which can permanently damage the ionic mass in your machine.

Economy

Due to its efficiency and large granulation, it is consumed rationally, providing long-lasting protection.

Can I use regular table salt in the dishwasher?

The answer is: NO. Although chemically similar (both are NaCl), table salt contains additives that are fatal to your machine:

Iodine and minerals:

They can damage the softening system.

Anti-clotting agents:

They can build up deposits and clog nozzles.

Fine structure:

Table salt melts too quickly or forms a "mud" at the bottom of the tank, blocking the machine.
Saving on salt by using table salt can cost you to repair or replace the entire machine. Use only dedicated, Special salt.

How to use Special salt?

  1. Locate the salt container (usually located at the bottom of the machine).
  2. Unscrew the cover.
  3. Using the funnel, pour Crystal Salt Special salt until the reservoir is full (if you are using the machine for the first time, pour water first, then salt).
  4. Screw the lid on tightly.
  5. Check the salt indicator on your machine regularly and top up as needed.

FAQ

It depends on the hardness of the water in your area and the frequency of washing. Most machines have an indicator light that comes on when the salt level is low. We recommend checking the level once a month.

If you live in an area with hard water (which is the case in most of Serbia), the answer is - YES! The amount of salt in the tablets is often not enough to deal with high scale levels, so additional salt in the tank is necessary for complete protection.
